(The show opens in the Nothing Nice studio where we see Eric Dillinger and Michael Albertson sporting red polos with silver AWA logos on them. Eric is smiling widely as Michael is already chuckling as the show opens.)
Eric: What? The show's started!
Michael: It's just-- too funny.
Eric: What do you mean?
Michael: I can't believe you're going to wait until the end of the show to tell everyone.
Eric: I have to. We got to build the suspense. Two major announcements, people, but you loyal AWA fans will have to wait until the end of the show to hear them.
Michael: I know. Should I tell them?
Eric: Tell 'em and you're fired.
Michael: Damn.
Eric: Getting into the show we have two guests tonight.
Michael: It's a good thing we didn't have that third one on tonight.
Eric: You're telling me. I think if Andrew O'Reilly had actually shown up to this then we might not have much of a studio left to do our show in.
Michael: Agreed.
Eric: Our first guest has a little controversy in his life--
Michael: --which brings him here, of course--
Eric: --because we love controversy. Welcome RPW Champion Johnny Royal to the show! |

Rude Boi Kris Jenkins, after having an impressive debut, injured his posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) when he landed wrong during his match on Crossfire. At the moment, it is too early to know whether he will require surgery to repair the damage, but even without surgery, he is expected to miss several weeks, even a few months, of action. This is a blow to Ricochet as Jenkins was someone that management had a strong future here, and this injury will come as a blow to both his career and Ricochet's aspirations for him. |

In surprising news, William Scott Rhoden, who attended Crossfire to meet with Anthony Rigby and Melanie Cohen about a potential television deal, ended up purchasing Ricochet from them. He made the announcement at the end of the show saying that Crossfire would also begin to air on his new network the World Sports Network when it debuts in November. More details are coming out about the purchase, and while an official price has not been announced, the deal did seem to be in the millions and included all Ricochet assets including their extensive tape library. Rhoden said that in the weeks that Ricochet is off, seeing it is a bi-weekly show, the network will air a two hour Crossfire Classics program highlighting some of the greatest matches and events in Ricochet history. Despite his extensive resources, Rhoden has no intention of moving Ricochet out of the Tap 'N' Tin, liking the fan base that it brings, however, he has not against having special shows in other parts of England or even other parts of Europe where his network will be shown in an effort to increase the fanbase and television audience. |

Many outside of England will not know the name of William Scott Rhoden, however, Rhoden is a self-made millionaire, owning the popular line of WCR Sports Stores, several television stations across the United Kingdom and Ireland, and part ownership in the Kidderminster Harriers F.C. It has long been rumored that he has been in the beginning stages of starting his own sports only network for the United Kingdom. It was also rumored that he was interested in having a professional wrestling presence on the network as well. Earlier tonight, Rhoden flew into Chatham, and will be meeting with Anthony Rigby and Melanie Cohen prior to Crossfire going on the air. It is unknown what this meeting will be about, but one would have to think it has to do with a new television deal and network for Crossfire. More information will be available as it is learned. |
