After being on the receiving end of being double teamed by the Ruff Ryders, Shawn Kelley and Chris Deppe, Thomas Steele will be out of action for several weeks, possibly longer. Doctors have diagnosed him with a minor concussion as well as a dislocated shoulder, which happened as a result of Shawn Kelley's M-Town Drop at the top of the steel rampway. It is known that Thomas Steele's RPW contract was coming up in the next few weeks. No word on whether this injury will affect the company's interest in him. In other news, Ricochet has commissioned a new intro video for their signature show, Crossfire, featuring Shinedown's new hit song, "Sound of Madness." The intro will officially debut on the next episode of Crossfire, however, we've learned that the intro video will debut on the official Ricochet website on Monday. The tech team has been working very hard on the new intro since the new Crossfire theme song debuted at Sweet Dreams, so they are very excited about the debut of the video. So check back with the website on Monday for its official debut. |

On Crossfire, a man from World Heavyweight Champion Johnny Royal's past came back to haunt him. We now have exclusive information on the story between Johnny Royal and David Dubose and how it can cause serious jeapordy in Ricochet Pro Wrestling for the champion.
When Johnny Royal began his wrestling career, seven years ago, he signed with the now defunct company, Extreme Wrestling Coalition, run by none other than David Dubose. At that time, Dubose saw talent in Royal, despite the fact that he did not have one match under his belt, and not only signed him to the EWC, but also signed an exclusive managerial contract with him as well.
A contract that gives Dubose virtual control over Royal's wrestling career.
After the EWC closed its doors, Royal took time off from wrestling, not realizing that the contract was still valid, despite him not being associated with either EWC or Dubose.
Fast forward seven years later, and Dubose has suddenly come out of the woodwork and is calling in his contractual duties.
The question on everybody's mind is "Why now?"
Royal has wrestled with Ricochet for nearly three years now, and nobody has heard of Dubose until he suddenly showed up on Crossfire with a list of demands.
Buzz Stone, Ricochet owner, currently has lawylers looking at the contract, but as of now, there appears to be very little that Ricochet can do about it. Which begs the question, what does that mean for Ricochet Pro Wrestling and its World Heavyweight Champion? |

Last Crossfire, RPW Owner, Buzz Stone, dropped a bombshell and announced that Ricochet had officially joined the Apex Wrestling Alliance as their first internationally based federation. That would not be the only bombshell dropped that night as Stone also reinstated the Chaos Championship, giving it to Sean Cain, instead of the expected Trans-Atlantic Championship, which Cain won at Sweet Dreams.
The final bombshell of the night came from David Dubose, a man who nobody know who he was prior to Crossfire. He claimed he had control over World Heavyweight Champion Johnny Royal's career since Royal first began it nearly seven years ago. This is a claim that has since then been proven. What did it mean for the future of Ricochet and the career of Johnny Royal?
Find out on this Crossfire as Adam Heaton faces rookie Jason Reed, Chris Deppe attempts to get revenge on Thomas Steele who attacked his partner, Shawn Kelley on the last Crossfire, and in the main event, a supercard quality match-up pitting "The God Damn Fucking Franchise" David Dunn against "The Italian Maniac" Antonino Romano, two men who have a long history together. All that and more on Crossfire. Source: Crossfire 127 (07/08/2009) |
