I. In-Character Guidelines
II. Out-of-Character Guidelines
III. Ricochet Originals

In-Character Guidelines

1) Ricochet Wrestling is owned by three individuals. Buzz Stone, former Ricochet  broadcaster, is the majority owner, while Anthony Rigby and Melanie Cohen are minority owners. Buzz is in charge of day to day operations and has a take charge attitude as far as the running of Ricochet goes. Both Rigby and Cohen are still a part of it, however, not as much as Buzz. They both have other committments outside of Ricochet that maintain their attention, but while they may not be seen much on camera, they are still active behind the scenes.

2) Ricochet has a one hour television show, Crossfire. It airs Sundays on a bi-weekly period at 10:00PM on the Wrestling Network, which can be viewed in all of the United Kingdom and most of Europe. The show is taped the Monday before it airs. Every other month, they hold a special supercard, a special two hour broadcast running from 10:00-12:00PM. Supercards can also be ordered on pay per view in the United States and are shown on the Fight Network in Canada. Supercards air live in Europe, however, suffer a tape delay outside of Europe.

3) Ricochet has two championship belts. They are the World Heavyweight Championship and Trans-Atlantic Championship. While the World Championship is certainly the most coveted title in Ricochet, both titles have their moments in glory and will often be the Main Event match, even over a Heavyweight Championship match. Anyone can contend for either of the two championships. There are no weight limits on any title. The only way someone can win a championship is by pinfall or submission. No championships will change hands via count-out or disqualification.

Out-of-Character Guidelines

1) Have fun! If you're not having fun, let me know and we'll see what we can do. If the only way you're going to have fun is winning and holding championships, then Ricochet is not the place for you. We're here to have fun, simple as that.

2) Crossfires are held every other week, normally on Mondays. On occassion, they maybe moved to a different day depending on my schedule. Supercards are held roughly every other month, usually between 5-6 Crossfires. While they do not happen often, on rare occassions, there will be late cards or even a change in deadlines, however, notification will be given in advance. Nothing is ever sprung at the last minute.

3) In a roleplaying period, the minimum amount of roleplays is one. There is a two roleplay maximum for Crossfires and a three roleplay maximum for Supercards. Not that you can't write more than the maximum, however, only the first 2 or 3 will count toward your match.

4) Winning will be based on a simple rubric. Each roleplay will be graded using it and averaged. The person with the highest average will win. 5 points will be subtracted from your overall score if you only roleplay once, as opposed to two times. The rubric is as follows:

Quality (50) - How good the overall roleplay is? Does it keep me entertained?

Relevance (20) - Does it show relevance to the rest of the fed? The storyline you're involved with, the stuff that affects you that are happening in the fed.)

Development (20) - Does it show your character as 3-dimensional, showing progression of your actual character, making sure they're not just one-sided?)

Extras (10) - Did you do a promo for the results? How about a backstage segment? Basically anything extra that's not required of you.)

5) If there are any problems, please keep them in private. Flaming people will not be tolerated, and posts will be subject to deletion. If the problem continues, please let me know, and I will do my best to resolve it. If there is a problem with something I've done, please let me know immediately also. I won't ever claim to be perfect, so sometimes I will screw-up, so let me know, and we'll see what I can do.

6) I'm pretty open about roleplay content, however, there are some real big no no's. My philosophy is if it couldn't be done on an HBO series, don't do it in your roleplay. Also note, actions in your roleplays could have consequences for your character. If you kill someone in your roleplay, your character will be suspended pending a police investigation, that you will have to roleplay your way out of until you are reinstated. If your in a plane crash, don't expect your character to be wrestling on the next couple of shows. Don't use other people's characters in your roleplays without permission. Using parodies of these characters (puppets, actors, etc) is fine, but don't just do it without reason or believability.

7) OOC behavior should stay positive. Joke around all you want, but sometimes there are topics that are meant to be taken seriously, and should be treated as such. Please respect the poster in that. Also, everyone should be respected. I already said no flaming, but I'm saying it again. Bashing of people won't be tolerated on the forums. A good OOC atmosphere is one of the biggest draws to a fed, so let's keep the good atmosphere going.

  Ricochet Originals

Ricochet has their own special twists on several wrestling staples in professional wrestling. These are steel cage matches, battle royals, hardcore matches, and fatal fourways.

1) A Ricochet Cage Match consists of a cage surrounding the ring, however, the cage itself is different from all professional wrestling federations. Originally constructed for an MMA Rules Match and standing six foot tall, unlike most cage matches, the cage is not constructed to keep people in or others out, but it is constructed to be used as a weapon itself. The cage surrounds the ring and wrestlers can easily climb out if they are so inclined. The winner is decided under normal rules, pinfall or submission. Escaping the cage is not the goal of this match.

2) An Irish Battle Royal is similar to a royal rumble. Starting off with two competitors, every two minutes, a new wrestler joins the match. Eliminations are made by throwing someone over the top rope. However, when the last person enters, usually the Heavyweight Champion, eliminations can then only be made via pinfall and submissions. Also, if the champion is involved, they cannot be pinned until there is only one other opponent, however, they can eliminate others. When it comes down to the final two, the champion and the challenger, winner takes all, via pinfall or submission. The Irish Battle Royal is displayed during the Irish Wake supercard.

3) The Chaos Match is Ricochet's answer to the hardcore match. Created specifically for the now retired Chaos Championship, it allows for no count-outs or disqualifications. Virtually anything goes, however, to win, the pinfall or submission must take place in the ring. While the referee cannot count the wrestlers out, if both wrestlers do not return to the ring or have exited to an area where a return is unlikely, referees have at their discretion to call a No Contest, if they feel that a proper winner will not be decided. Adjustments can be made to Chaos Matches in order to allow specific goals or allowances according to each match. However, must be agreed upon by the Commissioner.

4) The Fatal Fourway still consists of four wrestlers, however, in Ricochet's version of it, Fatal Fourways are double elimination, but only allows for two wrestlers in the ring at a time. The other two must wait outside, until one of the wrestlers is either eliminated or leaves the ring (by choice or force). If a wrestler on the outside enters the ring when both wrestlers are still in there, they will suffer a disqualification and cost them one of their eliminations. Standard wrestling rules apply during the actual match.

5) The Shoot Fight consists of three five minute rounds of wrestling between two competitors. It can be won by pinfall or submission, however, if at the end of the third round, no winner has been decided, the match will then go to three independent judges that will vote on who performed the best in the match.

6) The Vicious Cycle Match is Ricochet's version of a scaffold match. A platform ring is raised 25 feet into the air, very similar to a scaffold match. However, where this differs is the match does not end when someone falls. The wrestler that falls has twenty seconds to climb back into the ring and continue the match. The object, keep sending your opponent to the floor until they are unable to return to the ring.

7) The Ladder Match is one of the most distinguished and exciting matches in wrestling history. Ricochet took the concept and made it their own by having a free hanging ladder in the center of the ring, adding a whole level of danger and excitement to it as the wrestlers try to climb the swinging ladder.

8) An Italian Strap Match is where two wrestlers are bound together using Italian leather straps. At the end of each strap is an extra length of belt, so they can use the straps to beat the hell out of their opponent. Outside of the straps, standard wrestling rules apply.
